Manage team envs with Nebi

Environment management for teams. Push, pull, diff, and roll back reproducible Pixi environments — like git for environments, with access control built in.

Nebi is a multi-user environment management tool built on Pixi. Pixi gives you reproducible environments that mix PyPI packages with compiled system libraries like GDAL and CUDA; Nebi adds the team layer on top — version history, publishing to OCI registries, and role-based access control — through a CLI, a web UI, and a desktop app.

Features

What Nebi adds on top of Pixi — from local workspaces through to governed, shareable environments.

Built on Pixi

Install Python packages and compiled system libraries like GDAL and CUDA, from PyPI and conda-forge, with lockfiles that pin every dependency to an exact version.

Local-First Workspaces

Track and manage Pixi workspaces locally. Initialize projects, add dependencies, and work offline with full control over your environments.

Work locally

Sync and Share

Push workspace specs to a Nebi server and pull them on another machine. Share reproducible environments with your team using simple version tags.

Diff and Roll Back

Compare workspace specs across versions or directories to see exactly what changed. When an update breaks your workflow, roll back to a known-good version.

Publish to OCI Registries

Publish environments to any OCI registry — the same standard behind Docker Hub — so anyone can pull and reproduce your setup from anywhere.

Governance Built In

Role-based access control and OIDC authentication govern who can push, pull, or modify shared environments, and every change is tracked.
